Unhappiness over neighbour’s business plans

This week’s reader lives in a duplex house, separated from his neighbour by a wall. Shortly after the neighbour moved in, he started with renovations on his side of the property.

On inquiry, the new neighbour informed the reader that he was planning to run two businesses from the residential property and that no one would in fact be living in the house.

The reader told him that he had not seen any documentation regarding the granting of permission to run a business or businesses from the premises, upon which his neighbour informed him that he had no intention of obtaining permission from the municipality to do so. Read more…

Wanneer roerende goed deel van die kooptransaksie is

Vandeesweek se leser het onlangs ’n eiendom gekoop en met die eiendomsagent en verkopers ooreengekom dat die inhoud van die huis as betaling sou dien vir die tydperk wat die verkopers – na registrasie – in haar eiendom sou woon voor hulle emigreer.

Aangesien die leser ten tyde van die transaksie self in die buiteland was, het die eiendomsagent onderneem om te verseker dat die huisinhoud volledig en in orde is vóór die verkopers die land verlaat.

Toe die leser die eerste keer na die eiendom gaan kyk het ná sy van oorsee af teruggekom het, was die huis van sy inhoud gestroop – met die uitsondering van ’n paar groot meubelstukke. Read more…
