Q: I already have a website, why do I need to be here?

A: Search engines love your site more when other sites link to you. But that’s not all. Someone might find your competitor here, not be happy with what is being offered and move on. They could have moved on to you if you were listed on the same page. Someone might have come here for a completely different reason, and stumble across you in the process. We also have link click counters that we can use to gauge how well your listing is doing.

Q: Do you provide statistics on a regular basis?

A: All page views and website link clicks are recorded and kept in our database. You can at any stage request this information from us. We plan at a later stage to mail these out, but that depends on the demand we receive for this facility.

Q: How safe is it to list my email address? Will I be spammed?

A: Email addresses on this site are presented in such a way that automatic troll crawling spam engines won’t see them. This method has been proven to be 99% effective. We have our own address on here, should we start to notice an intrusion, we will change the algorithm.

Q: When I registered, my square was at the top left of the category, now it’s shifted all the way down. Why?

A: All new entries are automatically placed at the top left position, shifting previous entries down a notch. We don’t believe position is important for various reasons: Firstly, if your logo or artwork is attractive, it won’t matter where you are, and secondly, the local search system favours no one. If you still believe you need to be near the top, you can always renew your subscription ;-)
