Jeanine Van Litsenborgh is a naturalist that believes that a person’s thoughts and opinions are the basis of their being. As a naturalist she does not aim to capture the realism of subject matter but rather its own repute.
She creates a definite mood within her work and does so through the use of a vibrant pallet and smooth texture that is easy on the eye.
She works mainly in oils on canvas but enjoys the subtleness of water colours and the structure and discipline required when working in pen and ink. “In today’s rushed life we all need to be drawn into a peaceful place. If my work can lift the spirits of one person, it has served its purpose”
