Our company is a dentist-owned business that strives to provide the highest level of care across the whole spectrum of Dentistry. To this end our team is constantly staying abreast of the most recent research, methods, techniques and technology to provide our patients with the greatest variety of treatment options.

Services

We offer a comprehensive range of dental services, including cosmetic and functional rehabilitation services, orthodontics, implantology, periodontal services and restorative dentistry. We also encourage frequent check-ups and preventative treatment.

We also have the services of qualified sedationists Dr Ilse Bester, Dr Stuart Gibson and anaesthetist Dr Tjaart Groenewaldt available to ease our patients who experience anxiety when having dental treatment performed with the help of conscious sedation.

Functional and Aesthetic Rehabilitation

Can you chew your food with ease? Can you smile confidently? Are you happy with the appearance of your teeth? If not, you happen to be at the right place. D@H offer an extensive range of cosmetic, functionally oriented dental services, and as we work as a team, combining our skill and experience to tailor-make your treatment outcome, you can rest assured that your best interest is our only concern.

Orthodontics

Having teeth that are maligned is known to be the cause of several common problems, including clenching of teeth (bruxism), Tempero Mandibular Joint (Jaw) pain, migraine, not to mention the psychological impact of not being happy with your smile.

Ideally, we recommend that patients be screened from a very young age to assess their development. This allows us to sometimes act interceptively, but most orthodontic treatment commences in the patients’ early teens. We also offer orthodontic treatment for adult patients who wish to correct their tooth alignment and occlusion.

Implantology

Have you lost a tooth or several teeth? Single tooth replacement or replacement of a few teeth with implants has become the optimal method to achieve a stable, long-term result. New approaches have minimized treatment duration, whilst new and exciting techniques are enabling us to deliver results which, until recently, was thought to be impossible.

We also offer implant services for patients who wear full denture, enabling them to eat without their dentures moving or hurting them.

Periodontal treatment

Consider these facts:

  1. Gingivitis is the most common disease on the planet, with most people experiencing some form of this disease at some point in their lives.
  2. Research shows that the germs involved in gum disease also have a strong association with many forms of heart disease and increase the likelihood of complications once cardiac disease has been identified.

With this in mind, we at D@H strive to treat all our patients with whole-body health in mind by always evaluating the health of not only the teeth, but the gums as well.

Apart from the treatment of gum disease we also offer an array of surgical services to correct gingival recession, as well as to restore the ideal proportions of teeth and to make the smile more pleasing.

Restorative dentistry

We offer an extensive range of restorative dental services, including but not limited to metal-free fillings, -crowns and –bridges as well as all the supportive services including endodontics.

Our restorative methods and materials are of the highest standard, and we also make use of CAD-CAM technology, increasing strength and achieving better aesthetics, wherever possible.

With the scientific community of dentistry not being able to give clear guidance on the use of metal (especially mercury containing amalgam), we choose to rather guide ourselves by the demands of our patients. As any visible metal is unpleasing to the eye, we offer a complete metal-free restorative service to meet our patients functional and cosmetic needs.

Preventative Services

Prevention is better than cure- the axiom holds true for even teeth! We at D@H believe and advise that frequent oral hygiene performed by our friendly qualified hygienists forms an integral part of maintaining optimal oral health. Our clinicians, no matter how good, can only look after the health of your teeth and gums for the short while that you are in our offices- the rest of the time it is up to you, our valued patient, to ensure that once we’ve brought you to maintainable state of health you maintain it.
